Justice of Nigeria, Obafemi Richard Jegede: I Represent All Men Apologize to All Women!

Utterance for Women from A Nigerian Man, Obafemi Richard Jegede: What A Man Can Do, A Woman Can Do Better!

According to the previous report 《Suffragette of Nigeria, Obafemi Richard Jegede: Gender Equality Is The Only Way to Boost Economy!》President and Founder of W.R.O, Obafemi Richard Jegede, continuously implement the 5th goal of the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals): Gender Equality, and strives for countless opportunities for women to learn the skills for survival and chances to promote the world with men.

In today’s interview, he wants to emphasize once again “This is not only for Africa, it’s for the Whole World!”

Why do women make things difficult for females?  The culprits are still men?

“Are there any troubles you encounter to help women?” 《The Icons》 reporter asked.

“Of course I do! Uganda has a culture of gender inequality, as a man who stands up for women, has caused dissatisfaction among many men.”

Obafemi mentioned that when he founded the W.R.O (Woman Reform Organization), many men felt ashamed of him and that it took him extra time to convince everyone when he started; some men even used women to get free supplies from the organization.

“There was a woman who made up a fake story to ask for supplies, and as soon as we gave her the money and food, we realized that she didn’t need anything! All she tried to do was to please the men and those women who really needed supplies could only wait for the next batch. When you start to do good deeds, there will always be some obstacles awaiting you, and even people with bad intentions will abuse your kindness.”

Obafemi: It’s time for the world to hear us!

Obafemi expects the organization to grow better, because gender inequality definitely not only occurs in Nigeria, what he can do is limited. If he wants to make the world implement gender equality, he needs more resources and assistance.

W.R.O has adequate programs and strategies to help women. Although they desperately lack funds, he believes that as the organization grows stronger, one day, their deeds will be seen by the world and people who see eye to eye will take actions for the women.

“To do the right thing, does it really matter about gender? You should keep your faith to do what is right. Sooner or later, the world will see us!”
