Is Green Energy The Solution for The Environment? Professional Engineering Doctorate Researcher, Enock Ebbah: We Need Tech for Manufacturing Green Energy

According to the previous report《Global Warming Turns into Climate Crisis! Net Zero Expert, Enock Ebbah: 1.5°C Is The Range We Must Hold》, Enock Ebbah, Professional Engineering Doctorate Researcher, talked about the method and importance of net-zero.

In order to achieve net zero before 2050, green energy is indispensable. Enock will lead us to understand green energy in today’s《The Icons》report.

Inexhaustled Energy

Enock said that green energy refers to all resources obtained from nature, such as solar, wind, rain, waves, plants, algae and geothermal heat which are renewable and almost inexhaustible.

“So far humans rely on the energies of gasses and oil, which aren’t renewable but lesser every day; the prices of them, instead, have risen recently. Solar energy can replace 50% to 70% of humans’ energy utilization, so I think the countries which produce more solar energy have more opportunities to reach the net zero before 2050.”

Are solar panels harmful to the environment?

“I heard rumors that manufacturing solar panels will do great damage to the environment.”the reporter of《The Icons》asked.

“There were people who asked about this decades ago. Indeed, some of the retailing of solar panels polluted the environment, even for the recycling and operation.

Enock believes that with the advance of technology and arousal of environment conservation, more experts will focus on this issue and offer technical support. Once we find the substitute retails, solar panels will be the main energy source in the future.

Although the technical problems of manufacturing solar panels still remain, solar energy completely fulfills the 7th goal of SDGs: Affordable and Clean Energy; when solar becomes the main energy, net zero will be reached easily.
